Brahma Muhurta: The Power of Silence

We are constantly influenced by the vibrations around us.

Throughout the day, we are surrounded by people who are thinking, talking, working, worrying, desiring, and reacting. These vibrations influence our own mind and can make it difficult to maintain a strong intention.

This is why the early morning can be so powerful.

Why 3 AM?

Around 3 AM, almost everyone around us is asleep.

There is very little human activity, conversation, movement, or interaction. Consequently, there are fewer external vibrations influencing the mind.

The mind gets an opportunity to remain relatively undisturbed.

This makes 3 AM a logical time for making a strong intention or performing a practice given by one's Guru, such as self-remembrance.

The intention can be established before the activity of the world begins.

Find Your Own Time

However, the exact time is not the important part.

3 AM is simply a logical example.

Every seeker should observe their own environment and find the time when external vibrations and distractions are at their minimum.

For one person, it may be 3 AM. For another, it may be 4 AM, 5 AM, or another quiet period.

What matters is finding a time when the surrounding world has the least influence on the mind.

At that time, use the silence to establish your intention and perform your practice.

Less external influence → stronger intention → deeper practice.
