Windows is a series of operating systems developed by Microsoft. Each version of Windows includes a graphical user interface with a desktop that allows users to view files and folders in Windows. For the past two decades, Windows has been the most widely used operating system for personal computers.
Microsoft Windows is designed for both home calculations and professional purposes. Earlier versions of home versions of Windows include Windows 3.0 (1990), Windows 3.1 (1992), Windows 95 (1995), Windows 98 (1998), Windows Me (2000), Windows XP (2001), and Windows Vista (2006 ). The current version, Windows 7, was released in 2009.
The first business-oriented version of Windows, called Windows NT 3.1, was 1993. Windows 3.5, 4.0, and Windows 2000 followed. When Microsoft released Windows XP 2001, the company simply created different editions of the personal and commercial operating system. Windows Vista and Windows 7 have followed the same launch strategy.
Windows is designed to run on standard x86 hardware, e.g. Intel and AMD processors. Therefore, it can be installed on various brands of hardware, such as Dell, HP and Sony computers, as well as home computers. Windows 7 also includes various touch screen functions, which allow the operating system to run on certain tablets and computers with touch screens. Microsoft’s Windows Phone mobile operating system is designed specifically for smartphones and runs on various phone brands, including HTC, Nokia, and Samsung.
Autodesk Revit creates information modeling software for architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers, designers, and contractors. The original software was developed by Charles River Software, founded in 1997, renamed Revit Technology Corporation in 2000 and acquired by Autodesk in 2002. The software allows users to design a building and a structure and its components in 3D, comment on the model with elements 2D and access the construction information from the construction model database. Revit is a 4D building information model with tools to plan and track different stages in the life cycle of the building, from concept to construction and then maintenance and / or demolition.
